How does Year Flow calculate sun and moon times?

Year Flow uses your device location to compute sunrise, sunset, and moon phase times. Go to Settings → Change location and enter your city or place. The app uses this to show accurate day progress and moon information for your area.

Why is my location not updating correctly?

Make sure you've set your location in Settings. If times seem wrong, try changing to a nearby city or re-entering your location. Year Flow uses the location you provide—it does not track your real-time GPS position.

How do I add custom events or countdowns?

Open the Events tab (sparkles icon) and tap the "+" card to add a new event. You can set a title, date, and optional time. Events appear as countdowns showing days, hours, and minutes remaining.

Do the widgets work without opening the app?

Yes. Year Flow includes Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets that show your progress at a glance. Add them from the widget gallery—they update automatically using the same location and data as the app.

Can I support the app?

Yes! In Settings, tap "Buy me a coffee" to make a voluntary donation via in-app purchase. Thank you for your support.

How do I report a bug?

Use the contact form and include: app version (in Settings), your device model, and steps to reproduce the issue. Screenshots are helpful when possible.

Year Flow is designed with privacy in mind. This policy explains how we handle your information.

We do not collect any data

Year Flow does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your location choice (e.g. city name) is saved only on your device. We do not have servers that receive or process your data. We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising. Your information never leaves your device.

What stays on your device

Location settings, custom events, and app preferences are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad. This data is used only by the app to show your progress and is not shared with us or any third party.

In-app purchases

If you use "Buy me a coffee," the transaction is handled by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment or account details beyond what Apple provides for purchase verification.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how we handle data, we will update this page and note the date. Our commitment is to keep Year Flow private by default.
